1. Who we are
Fluent Fins (“we”, “us”) operates fluentfins.com and the ENGLISH and TOEFL practice portals. For questions about this policy, write to privacy@fluentfins.com or info@fluentfins.com.
This mock policy describes the kinds of data a language-practice product typically handles: account details, practice activity, and technical logs.
2. Information we collect
Account data: name, email address, role (student, instructor or admin), and optional profile photo. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email your Google account shares with us.
Learning data: question-set attempts, test scores, written answers, audio submissions, and progress analytics so we can show your dashboard.
Technical data: browser type, device, approximate region, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and remember preferences.
3. How we use your information
We use this information to create your account, deliver practice content, score attempts, personalise recommendations, send service emails, and keep the platform secure.
We do not sell your personal information. Mock analytics partners (for example a hosting or email provider) may process data only to run Fluent Fins.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies store your session so you stay signed in across fluentfins.com and the practice portals. We may also use cookies to remember language and cookie-banner choices.
You can block non-essential cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may sign you out of practice sessions.
5. Sharing and retention
Instructors and admins only see student activity they are authorised to manage. We retain account and practice records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for support and legal obligations.
If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data that is no longer needed, except where we must keep records (for example billing or security logs).
6. Your choices
You may request access, correction or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@fluentfins.com. Students can also update name and avatar from their profile when that screen is available.
If we rely on consent (for example marketing emails), you can withdraw it at any time. Service emails about your account may still be sent.
7. Children
Fluent Fins is intended for learners who can form an account under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country) without appropriate consent.
8. Changes
We may update this mock policy as the product grows. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use of Fluent Fins after an update means you have read the new version.
